Party like it's 1820.

In honor of Thanksgiving, I'd like to honor the Native Americans.

They were pretty cool.

For an explanation as to why we are dressed like this and for more photos, check out Mia Knox's blog.

"Isn't it nice to know that the lining is silver? Isn't it nice to know that we're golden?"

I was sitting at the computer desk, which is right by a window, and suddenly, everything turned golden.

It was beeeeautiful.

Since it's under 40 days until Christmas...

I have deemed it socially acceptable to break out the Relient K Christmas music.

Well, any Christmas music to be exact.

So I've spent my entire day listening to Relient K's, Elvis Presley's, an Josh Groban's Christmas albums.

Yes, I do wait for this time of year...every year.

But yeah, if you get the chance, check out Relient K's Christmas album. It's lovely.

I would post a video, but YouTube doesn't have any. Hmph.

Well, of "Silver Bells" and "O Holy Night", which are my favorite songs from the album.

It's weird..."Silver Bells" always reminds me of going to Chicago at Christmastime. I guess that's why I love it so much. Haha.

I just love overly dramatic, sappy Christmas music...

Don't judge me.

Dear Sparknotes...

Why are you so darn boring.

Can I just sleep now? Please?

Day 24- A letter to your parents...

Dear Mom and Dad,

I love you so much. You both know that.

Sure, sometimes I shut you out. But that doesn't mean I don't love you, it just means I'm becoming more independent.

You both are lovely people. You're kind to everyone. You give so much to everyone.

You feed our entire family and our friends. That's a lot.

You open our home to everyone.

You provide me with so much. Most of it, I don't deserve, and it seems your one and only goal is to make me happy. It makes me feel so selfish...

My friends say that you are wonderful people.

Thank you for providing me with the best life I could ever ask for.

Love,
Your one and only daughter.

Day 23- Something you crave for a lot...

There are several things...

I crave hugs. Or someone to lean on.

I crave a new Relient K CD to put on repeat...constantly.

I crave cake. Really good cake.

I crave shopping. I'm pretty sure I have a problem.

I crave having people around me. I hate being by myself. If I'm by myself, I think too much, and that just brings me down.

I crave being happier and more positive.

I crave experiencing new things and traveling.

I guess you could say I want too much.

Day 22- What makes you different from everyone else...

Hmm.

Well, for starters, I stay up really late watching politics. Most people think this is ridiculous.

I was/am super excited about getting braces. I was sick of my teeth. They were far too gappy.

I tend to wear more muted tones than most people. For some reason, color just makes me feel weird.

I have really huge obsessions with Relient K and history.

I take waaay more pictures than a lot of people do. Of pretty much anything.

I'm sure there's more...but I don't really pay attention to how I'm different from everyone. I'm too busy to think that much.

Day 21- A picture of something that makes you happy...

 (Well, this photo isn't mine.)

So if you've known me for very long, you'd probably know that I have a deep, professed love for Relient K.

If I'm having a terrible day, I usually listen to them. Their lyrics inspire me, make me smile, make me think, and sometimes make me cry.

They're quite witty.

And Matthew Thiessen sings like a god.

So yeah...The picture's tiny because I figured I'd throw this one in as kind of a side thing...

My friend Karyn's gospel dancin' like a beast makes me happy. Haha.

Day 20- Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future...

Right now, I don't see myself with anyone.

Maybe because I'm only 14?

But yeah, currently, I don't see myself being married to anyone in the next ten years. I just see myself as independent and busy. I mean, I want to get married, but my mind isn't in that position yet.

So I guess that makes it a no one? That sounds so lonely...Let's just go with to be determined at a later date, okay?

(On a side note, I just realized...I only have 10 posts left of this challenge.)

Day 19- Nicknames you have; why do you have them...

Frankie: No one takes the time to say my actual name, Francesca. It's either this, or Franc.

Franc: (See above.)

Frank n' beans: One of my friends calls me this. I don't particularly enjoy it, but she does.

Frank<3: My friends are in the ongoing process of redoing my room so we all came up with man names for ourselves.

Frankenstein: People just think they're oh-so-very funny.

Raven Symone: It's a very long story.

That's all I can think of currently. I probably have more, but I'm too lazy to think. Hey, it's a Friday.

Day 18- Plans/dreams/goals you have...

Plans?

Well, I plan to be successful and happy. Most people place those as dreams or goals. Those are my plans.

Also, I plan to go to college. Someplace lovely.

I plan to live in Chicago. It's my favorite city, afterall.

To go into law or politics.

Dreams?

I dream of eventually finding a really nice, attractive guy and marrying him.

I dream of one day actually being decent-ish at sports.

I dream of having a big old house. I can't stand new ones.

Goals?

To get over a certain someone...Once and for all.

To get all A's in high school.

To get into a really good college.

To be happy with life. Truly happy with where I am...not to be happy with "only if I had..."

Day 17- Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why...

Hmm...Someone I would want to switch lives with?

Matthew Thiessen.

Because he sings like a god.

And he's pretty darn cool.

(I'd upload a picture, but my internet is being lame. Google him. He's lovely.)

Day 16-Another picture of yourself...

So...This picture is a couple months old, but I don't take many pictures of myself considering I don't have a webcam (this was using a friend's) and I hate those self-pictures. There's always an awkward looking arm in them...or they're waaay too close.

Also, I don't get a lot of pictures of myself because I tend to be taking the pictures...or there's usually other people in them...or I just don't like the picture...

I guess I'm pretty picky.

And pretty rambly.

Also, note ginger friend with his head in the corner. Lovely.

I interrupt this 30 Day Challenge for a special announcement...

BOBBY SCHILLING WON!
...And my friends and I got our picture with him this summer. You're jealous. I know it. Haha.

Day 15- Put your iPod on shuffle: first 10 songs that play...

  1. Come Right Out and Say It- Relient K
  2. An American Trilogy- Elvis Presley
  3. The Stenographer [Demo]- Relient K
  4. Swing- Taking Back Sunday
  5. Praise You In This Storm- Casting Crowns
  6. Handel's Messiah- Relient K
  7. American Dream- Casting Crowns
  8. No Roads Left- Linkin Park
  9. Pajama Party- Swimming With Dolphins
  10. Cave In- Owl City
  11. I So Hate Consequences- Relient K
  12. You Never Let Go- Matt Redman
  13. In the Garden- Elvis Presley
  14. The Gambler- Fun.
  15. Swing Down Sweet Chariot- Elvis Presley
So...Besides all the Relient K, this is a terrible representation of my musical taste. I swear I listen to more bands than this.

Also, no judging. I really like Elvis, okay?

Also, I'm pretty dumb. I thought it said 15 songs...Haha.

Day 14- A picture of you and your family...

Well, considering the fact that I'm usually the one behind the camera taking the pictures and my family is incredibly busy, I don't have any recent (as in...this year) pictures of my family. These are about a year or so old.

So...This is my family, minus my older brother...in my favorite city. (He was lame and didn't come). Haha.
Aaand...Here's my older brother. He's...interesting. Haha.
